I had to make sure I was drinking the same wine as the other notes but it’s been a while since the last was posted, this was from a Magnum I was reluctant to drink from the modest reports. Mightily reductive in a Coche like way (I know a lot of notes make that parallel but this is the real deal, it’s not just matchsticks), even 5 hours after opening, very little to no Oxidation but you can still tell it’s Jura. Lemon curd and peel, hints of pate sucree with the best French butter ever and little whisps of wild herbs all over and a briny oyster liquor finish. I’m not an over indexing wine scorer and I like weird stuff but this is the best of both worlds like drinking Corton Charlemagne with a little more individuality. Wish I had more!

Parfum de cereales roties, un peu de guano frais, coing pour certain une touche de noisette. Un vin reduit pas si mineral que d'habitude. Longueur moyenne sur les agrumes. Elegant et simple. A carafer.

Not a wine easy to understand; yes, chardonnay, yes, Jura, yes, different, yes, Ganevat. Jou have to forget your Burgundy frame of reference judging this wine. I liked this wine with a certain ripeness (also in colour), wood, some oxydation (but passable), a lot of stuff and all together not a perfect balance, but really worth the rating I gave. Let's wait for the 2008!

lovely. there is an oxidative quality that firmly anchores this as Jura wine, although this is topped up. There are phases here - at first it's about Jura, then goes through a stony ripe chardonnay phase, and then gracefully combines these qualities after an hour or so. Well balanced, very mineral, delicious with scallops.
