Bottled in 1991 with a Christmas label. Surprisingly dark. No sediment to speak of. Aged figgy fruit and peaches on the slightly lifted nose. Dried herbs, tar, graphite, dark chocolate and a touch of liquorice. Medium bodied and slightly tannic palate with good intensity of dried fruit. Liquorice, leather, stone fruits, graphite and minerality. Mid-length finish. Very nice stuff. Oxidative style obviously, but well-balanced and pretty intense even.
