  Purchased upon release and stored in excellent conditions since and despite all these positive factors within my control, this bottle has not aged well.
  
  The bottle leaked and the cork, in a first for me, resided about 1/2" below the lip of the bottle. In addition, the cork broke apart and nearly collapsed into the bottled - which is clearly not a good sign. Can't blame heat or anything deleterious during my custody, so I can only speculate that something happened during the transportation phase. Color was reasonable, but flavors seem diminished.
  
  Consider this wine flawed despite its 26 years of age. No need to rate a flawed wine.

  Equilibre demi sec, tres mineral evolué. Assez bien.

  Wonderfully balanced palate with the aged sweetness complementing the remaining acid. Displayed the slightly drier and more mineral inflected profile that this wines can display with sufficient bottle age. Paired fresh king crab and passion fruit which was a wonderful combination
