Decanted for about 3 hours. Tight and tannic still. Smells beautiful but the palate is very restrained. A little bit of red berry fruit, a lot of leather, maybe some chocolate. Wait on the rest of these.
Big beautiful fruit with everything in balance. Big tannins and acidity. All that's needed is time. Enjoyable but way too soon. Wished i was drinking this 5 - 10 years from now. Will save the rest for a long time.
Wow! What a wine! Very dark in color with some slightly brown hints on the rimms already and perfectly ruby clear through the light. Fantastic redberry and violets on the palate, very good acidity. Wine is almost fat but silky at the same time. With every quarter of an hour it opened up exploding with the fruit. Then some secondary hints of vanilla and even smoke popped up. Perfectly concentrated. After another 3 hours it was very profound, intensive in th nose also some chocolate hints could have been recognized. For me close to perfection and tasted very similarily to young Brunello. Fantastic!
Dekantert. Lite bunnfall. Litt lukket umiddelbart, mer åpner seg raskt opp.
Middels intens.

(Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva Rància) This is 100% Sangiovese from the Rància vineyard, and it has seen out between 18 and 22 months in oak. The fruit has a polished feel aromatically, with an overlay of oak, showing a creamy, plum-liqueur character tinged with black olive. It still seems very youthful and primary, sweet and ripe, but it certainly holds lots of promise I think. The palate is supple and yet substantial, polished, with plenty of grippy, powerful tannins. There is some firm acidity which dominates here and through in to the finish, where the tannins show a smoothly textured quality. A wine with really great potential I think.
