Nose shows development, aged plum, a little raisinated blackberry, sweet must, still some freshness though, dried roses. Palate matches, shows nice body, elegance, same hint of sweetness amongst the dry herbal flowers, potpourri, red and black fruit but it's hiding a little, nice actually. Finishes smooth, acidity balanced. Very, very good QPR.
From a 375ml, $9. Wow, muted nose but great fruit with dark cherries and a little hint of prune (sweetness) to go with the leather and spice. Nice mature Bordeaux that is drinking superbly at this point in time. Super value!
Rather nice. Half bottle popped and poured. Tobacco and cedar to the fore, some fruit with an abrupt finish. No hint of the roasted, plummy fruit so prevalent in the 2003 vintage. Very good to Excellent.
