This clear sweet wine was poured at home. The wine was mid deep rust in colour with some red tinges and the nose was of apricots and a bit of wax. In the glass were flavours of apricots, honey, nutmeg and a bit of pepper that made this surprisingly hot. This is a very viscous wine that had a long finish.

I’ve only had a handful of SQN dessert wines, as well as Kracher wines, so I was curious how this would show with 16yrs on it.
Almost amber colored in the glass. 100% marsanne. Honeyed peach and orange marmalade aromatics with sweet baking spices too. Decadent and viscous crème brûlée, orange roasted cashews, and toffee notes that while sweet, doesn’t come across as too sweet or intense. Not zippy, but not flabby either. No rush here. An absolute treat to enjoy.

Thick, dense, slightly tangerine hue. Served blind. Immediately thinking very aged Sauternes or perhaps an Italian dessert wine!? Thick, viscous entry. Botrytis and honeysuckle. Herbs and orange and yellow fruit. Passionfruit, hint of strawberry. Very delicious. This one could go on and on!! Very neat wine

Couples night with Wines That Don't Suck (My house): Pop and pour, not sweet but a syrupy texture. There is a nice spice and fruit palate, lots of apricots, pear, orange marmalade and a bit of butterscotch.

Thick texture; very dark color -- like dark honey; super sweet.
