  Un barolo di Monforte vero, senza se e senza ma, con le radici affondate nel terreno della Langa. Colore particolarmente intenso, senza grandi segni di evoluzione. Naso balsamico di menta e ginepro, con sottofondo di spezie dolci, tabacco. La frutta c'è ed emerge do un po' di ossigenazione. Inizialmente sentori di uva passa e prugne secche, che poi si aprono su una bella confettura di more. Al palato struttura importante, tannini ancora rampanti, bella spina acida e calore dell'alcol chiaramente percettibile. Finale lungo. Pienamente maturo.

  Roseblader, mørke kirsebær og noen jordlige toner.
  En deilig start.
  Solid munnfølelse med mye power, men holder seg allikevel på den elegante siden.
  Pent balansert.
  Finkornede tanniner i utgangen, men ikke la deg lure - De finnes i bøttevis.
  Meget lang finish.
  Selv om dette er smertelig ungt, så gir den mye glede nå med tilstrekkelig luft.
  Roddolo slår ikke bare hardt, han kan danse også. 93p

  Quite independent and interesting nose of mint, coconut and over time a lot of cola plant aromas come to mind. Tannins are very refined and are slowly integrating. I would give this wine another 2-3 years in the cellar and than enjoy it over the next 10 years.

  Classic, stratified Barolo entering peak drinking window with notes of plum, allspice, rum soaked dried cherries, wild mushrooms, reduced soy with plenty of eucalyptus notes to go around. Firm on the abundant finish with peaks of drying red fruit and wooded tannins. Fantastic wine which continued to unfold over the course of the evening.
