Clear golden color. Nose of white peach, honeysuckle and wet stone. Bright, crisp acidity with a distinct mineral core layered with Gravenstein apple and a hint of peach. Oak is present but restrained and adds structure. Ready to drink now but might also stand more aging.

Golden color. Tropical fruit aromatics with some lightly toasted new oak. Tastes of apple, lemon, and pineapple. Huge vanilla oak backbone needs better integration. Tart pineapple finish. 14% alcohol.

Ojai and Burgundies - Not a Bad Saturday (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): the nose showed almond paste, marzipan but also some green apple for freshness. big, bod wine on the palate with honeysuckle, creamy pear and almond cake. medium acid. i found this to be a thick wine, but it had just enough acid to keep it interesting to drink.

Saturday Afternoon @ Weygandt Wines (Weygandt Wines, Cleveland Park, Washington D.C.): Light color, close to clear. Big nose of marzipan, vanilla, white flowers and peaches. Massive wine that's rich, and full-bodied. Fair amount of honey and pears on the palate. I'm guessing there would be a lot of people that would go for this style of chardonnay, but I'm not one of them. Too big, too gloppy, too much. Would like to see this have more acidity and balance.
