This is a decent well-priced Walla Walla Cab, but what kind of detracted from my personal experience with it was a strong tar / plastic component on the nose. Once you can wade past that theres some other more feminine almost perfume notes. Flavor, mouthfeel and finish are all very straightforward. Nothing repulsive, nothing stunning. It's definitely worth a try, and might improve in a few more years. (Tasted early 2010) In any case, it was a huge step up in quality from the previous vintage.

The wine could age more. Even though we decanted our bottle, I still felt it needed more air. Not a fruit forward wine. The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. The body is Medium/Full. The wine is textured Coarse. The wine finishes Medium.

Woodinville Wine Tasting (Woodinville, WA): This wine just keeps getting better, every time I taste it! Great fruit, solid structure, nice acidity, and some really fine secondary flavors starting to emerge. The fruit is the star of the show here, with blackberries leading the charge. A bit of cassis in there too, with some earth and tobacco filling in, not a lot of oakiness at all, but just a bit of mocha coming in on the finish.

Decanted 1 hour. Nice and fruity, but a bit tight on day 1. Day 2 was much more open and enjoyable. Blue and black fruit with an undercurrent of green pepper.

Pop & pour. Great wine as always, consistent with 10/16/2010 notes.
