  A little anis on the nose. Aging has revealed some interesting notes dominated by cassis. Dry finish. Hoping for more based on the balance of the previous reviews. Perhaps past it’s prime.

  Loved it!!! I had bought a magnum at a Bern’s Steak House wine dinner featuring the Wine maker, Michael Louzada. He recommended holding it for at least 10 years. We opened it Saturday and it was amazing out of the bottle. Deep flavors, plenty of fruit, yummy. I saved a third of the bottle for Sunday. It became smoother and more flavorful but 30 minutes after pouring, the flavors went away… we finished it anyway! Wish I had bought more…

  Really enjoyable, much better at this age than when younger, where it is much about power; now nicely soft with well-integrated flavours, medium dark red, more dark than medium; dark fruit, licorice, lots of sweetness, a bit of soft tannins in the back; not a blockbuster as such, but really well made
