The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and many small bubbles.
The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of citrus (lemon peel), green fruit (green apple, pear), MLF (cream) and hints of yeast (bread).
The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of citrus (lemon peel), green fruit (green apple, pear), MLF (cream) and hints of yeast (bread). The finish is medium.
It is a good quality wine. It has some flavour concentration that balances the acidity. However the finish could be longer and a better example of this style would show more complexity.
Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop a bit more of complexity 2-3 years after disgorgement.
Yes, a good find indeed! Nose is quite subtle: some honey, pears, apple peel. Also got some chamomile tea(interesting!). Very lively and intense on the palate, sharp acids, tight bubbles. loads of citrus and apple peel notes, even some spices. theres just enough sugar to balance the sharpness, which make this all the more appealing. Some toastiness at the end. medium after taste, which is a bit bitter, but in a good way. For the money, a very good buy.
