A minimum two hour decant is required for this wine to fully open up and blossom. A definite heavyweight with rich dark fruit followed by a little heat on the finish.

Popped and poured through a Vinturi. Really incredible nose of mocha and dark red fruit with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the richness of the nose continued beautifully along with an acidity that invited food. On the backend, there was ample tannin and a strong finish. Outstanding.

appearance: medium weight, dense, inky purple with a thin edge of pink. nose: initially cola, cherry, cedar notes, then turning more toward the spicy/vegetal, esp clove, eucalyptus palate: cola, blueberries, followed by earthy flavors; surprisingly subtle and complex, decent acid; tannins have mellowed nicely from the time we tasted this at the winery almost 2 years ago; extremely long finish. In all this is a v classy and complex wine.

Excellent Cab Franc. Classic style with big black fruit, prunes and blackberries. Hints of chocolate covered cherries. Very rich yet smooth to drink. A pleasant bottle of wine worth buying again and again if the quality stays consistent.

Superb with roast turkey and fixings. Enjoyed the depth vs. an excellent PN. Still holding up well.
