This was a PnP. Delicious at first sip. Showing the alcohol 16.1%!!!! Beautiful dark red color. Who says Zins don't age well?! This Turley has a few years left, yet.

Very good, classic Turley zin, impeccable shape, big, ripe, slightly sweet entry, spicy zin finish. But who brought zin to a sushi restaurant? ;) ;) Oo Toro in Walnut.

So happy that I held this bottle so very long for a zinfandel. Great fruit, that Atlas Peak character, the complexity of some mineralogy, and that good vegetable character (nuanced taste but not simply green).

Tasty food wine in the 91-92 range but nothing like the bottle we just had less than a month ago. Maybe some bottle variation, still good, but nevertheless, still disappointing compared to our last bottle.

(Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Mead Ranch, Atlas Peak) A concentrated, wildly intense mix of black- and red-berry aromas with twists of cracked pepper makes the nostrils tingle. The full, luscious, silky-textured palate allows the fruit to flow unimpeded by a sinewy, toothsome belt of tannin. Special Report: Napa Valley Zinfandel
