Superb petite syrah which is aging beautifully; still vibrant and young with primary deep and dark rich fruit; very full and long; what a great surprise with many many years to go.

Popped and poured, and drank over two hours. Good to go right out big the bottle. Still super dark in the glass and looks like it could hold on for another 20-30 years. Flavor profile consistent with the bottle I drank five years ago.
Typical powerful Turley PS. Interesting to drink such a robust wine. Definitely needs a big steak or other meat on the grill. I like to drink these on occasion for their power and grip, but not something I regularly want to drink. I found age has improved it and it should be fine many years in the future but I doubt it will improve.

Decanted to remove an abundance of sediment, then slo-oxed for 20 minutes. Some blue and black fruits on the nose. The palate showed the same blue and black fruits, more than enough acidity to balance, and some drying tannins. The last glass was losing some of that delicious fruitiness, while still displaying some unresolved tannins. I'm afraid that this wine continues on the downslide, so drink up now, even with the hefty tannins. Pair with the fattiest dish you can find.

Decanted for one hour. Some very fine sediment, and less than expected. The initial nose showed blue and black fruits, along with a floral (violet?) note. The initial palate showed the same blue and black fruits, more than enough acidity to balance, and some drying tannins. After one hour, the wine was losing some of that delicious fruitiness, while still displaying some unresolved tannins. I'm afraid that this wine is on the downslide - losing fruit while retaining tannin. As other TNs have suggested = drink up now, even with the hefty tannins. Pair with the fattiest dish you can find.
