Consumed in the December sunshine on a deck overlooking the Northern California coast, so I'm sure it gains points just for ambience. Still, a pretty decent midrange Chablis with a dozen years of age on it. Bright lemony color and an assertive stony nose with an intriguing funky/floral note. Hue and aroma carry over to the palate: mineral-laden with juicy citrus acidity. Surprisingly viscous in the mouth. This isn't astringent or austere; rather, it combines a restrained palate with a lush texture. Quite nice on its own, better with food.
