This was past its prime, dull in color, and a Durand was needed to extract the cork. This was bought in 2020, from a reputable Napa seller that guarantees provenance. I think this bottle saw bad storage at some point. Drinkable aged red fruits, secondary flavors, not vibrant, but not enjoyable.
Ruby red in color. 14.1% ABV. Beautiful nose of red fruits, citrus and forest floor. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Light and ethereal. Finesse and grace in spades. Strawberry, cranberry, earth and minerals on the palate. The finish on the wine is breathtaking. Stunning Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir that has aged brilliantly. Best over the next several years.

This bottle was perhaps a bit tired, holding out more hope for my remaining one. Took awhile to sort itself after opening, and then presented more herbal and spicy than fruited. A bit spritzy on the tongue at first.

Ripe dark red fruits and orange rind. Big and rich but with enough acidity to keep things from getting unruly. Fruit forward and crowd-pleasing style, yet lacks finesse. Lightly spritzy. This wine screams Sonoma Coast. While enjoyable enough, QPR is lacking. Does not drink the way I want a Pinot to drink. I don’t see this improving with more age, though it’s certainly going to be fine to hold for a handful more years.

Delicious sour red cherry, rhubarb, and earth on the nose and rich palate with orange peel notes on the long finish. Aging gracefully!
