Big boned wine, bold cassis, oak still evident but not overpowering. Nice tannins on finish drank alongside two other west coast blends and this was best showing wine.

Purchased this wine at the tasting room in Woodenville. Spoke with the winemaker owner. A real delight, a Boudreaux on Washington state right fruit steroids. Opaque ruby red slightly moving away from the rim. This wine has about five more years in the bottle at peak maturity. A powerful and pleasant nose, no Bordeaux leather or tobacco but plenty of fruit. Dark blackberry, a hint of spice and mint. Heavy mouth feel, not jammy, more elegant. New World fruitiness, and very well balanced. Great structure ripe tannins tart acidity with lots of fruit, and an extended sweet finish. The mouth coating yet soft texture is the best part of this wine. Washington cab strikes me as more elegant then California, and more claret like. 2nd day raised the score. Deeper cab tones emerge, chocolate, a hint of tobacco. Very soft with a vibrant acidity and a thrilling long finish. Certainly one of the best New World Meritage-style wines that I have had. On my WA trip, get more.

Very nice solid blend. Sweet nose with cassis and cocoa. Sweetness on the palate (oak?) a bit distracting but overall very well put together wine. Medium to full body with drenching fruit and nice tannins in background. Holds up well to prime rib. Ready to drink or hold.
