  • No prior decanting. Quite accessible after a short time in the glass; not quite sure it improved after that over, say, one and a half hour. Otherwise it is all it should be: Perhaps more earthy than the sexy smoothness of a Mugnier Chambolle (last tasted around 1992), but polished, pure, complex and wonderful; after the very highest standards it could perhaps be seen as lacking a little in the beauty of the aftertaste(which had a slight green note) and in the expansiveness of its possible future ethereal character. Still, a delight for what it is.

  • Black and red cherry starting to mature. Dried herb and subtle background spice. Moderate weight, but very balanced and elegant. This will be very good for at least a decade+.

  • Ahhh...ça pinote à souhait ici!
Au nez, c'est floral et sur les petites baies rouge.
En bouche, souple et digeste avec un beau fruit, des framboises et des fraises avec du poivre. Assez long et suave en finale.
    Très bien.

  • Second wine at the NSG tasting. A light rusty red wine with perfume and stable notes on the nose. Surprising few characters on the nose and on the palette. It is a straight forward wine with some acidity. I believe the wine is just closed and needs time to age. It may have entered its sleeping phase at the moment.

  • bright, clear red color, clean fresh fruit (red currant at first, and then deepened into cherry after about an hour), some mushroom notes in the background. Paired very well with spiced venison. Overall impression was light and bright, with hints of more complex aromas appearing from time to time.
