Deep dark red. Little bricking. Dense aromas and flavors of bramble, garrigue, rare grilled meat, iodine, reductive and hints of black/green peppercorn. Nice wine. Drink up.

Youthful, opaque color. Notes of clove, mulled citrus, red currant, sugar plum and lavender. Red fruits, cracked pepper, citrus pith on the racy, intense palate. Furry, fine tannins. Long, peppery finish. Will reward more time in the cellar. Very Crozes Hermitage to me. Good food wine.

Consumed over 2 nights, night 1 showing far better. Ultimately this served as a decent enough food wine, but I waited too long to open it. Having purchased it 4 1/2 years ago, I probably should have opened it 2 years back. Night #1 saw lovely aromatics of smoked plum, blueberry jam, a hint of vanilla and coffee beans. The production was mostly short-lived though and by the second glass most the sex appeal factor had departed. Everything is fully resolved now, smooth and enjoyable, but the romance has faded. This may have been worth $40 at one time, but those days are behind it now. Drink them if you've got them. 14,5% abv.

Very hot wine. Pronounced sugar and alcohol. Vegetal as others have noted. There is some nice spice and fruit, but this wine is off balance and seems over worked. I normally really enjoy Failla wines, but this was a bit disappointing.

I agree with notes below, youthful, good fruit, nice food wine. Saved a glass for a second night and it drank well. Drink or hold
