Charleston VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): I think if I was going to be a burgundy drinker than chambolle-musigny would probably be my area. It always seems a bit more refined and lighter in style and a bit more fruit focused. This was in that space as well. A bit young and to be fair tough to be on the heels of the Rousseau but it's a nice drinking wine.

I had this bottle some days ago, wrote a tasting note under the wrong file (les Baudes 2008 of Barthod). This note is now deleted. Les Beaux Bruns needed some air to get together, at the beginning lots of acidity with clean but underripe red fruit, some earthy and salty notes. All in all drinking quite well, for a wine from a cold year with limit maturity. I do not expect that it will get any better, there is clearly the danger, that the remaining fruit will disappear and that the wine will sit only on its structure.
