  • An epic dinner of classic wines: This pours medium gold in the glass. Great color considering the age. The nose on this after an hour of air is insane. Lightly rich but massively complex and still very citrus driven. Aromas are of toffee, caramel apple, pear, yellow flowers, chalky rock, a whisp of butterscotch and fresh squeezed lemon. The palate enters on beautiful richness walking an amazing fine line between rich toffee and pure lemon juice, with medium plus acid. The finish is long and gorgeous replaying much of the nose. This bottle was purchased by one of our dining companions. Naturally I was immediately worried about premox but there was no hint of it here. In fact this showing was better than any of us could have imagined. Just amazing!

  • This was popped and poured and was a beautiful golden hue. Definitely at the end of its life but still pleasant and interesting for about 30 minutes
