Agree with the other reviews - simple and straightforward Spatlese. Sweetness and acidity, but nothing else. Served its purpose paired with spicy Indian food.

This is the bottling purchased from the "secret" saar source... and what a fantastic value at $14. Not sure if it is the vintage or the fact it is from the Saar (or both) but the acidity is just beautiful on this wine and perfectly balances what little perceptible sweetness there is.... not up to the same standard of some of the phenomenal Selbach-Oster QdP bottlings but sometimes you just want a bottle of riesling for a hot summer day. At the price, buy it if you can find it.

Very sweet, but with a great streak of acidity that cuts right through. Pineapple and other tropical fruit. A little simple, but also quite tasty. Great price at under $20.

Floral, honey and apricots on the nose. Taste sweet with honey and floral dominating. Medium finish. Nothing to write home about.
