I haven't made notes on earlier bottles, but it's drinking wonderfully right now. Should be at peak levels over the next two years. Full bodied, complex and quite good for the price

Oh thank $deity, this one had no Brett. Solid 89! Cocoa, anise, hint of bell pepper on the finish. Excellent QPR for a daily drinker. Their Cuarzo better be phenomenal (@ 6x the price).

Grr. Brett. Didn't really blow off, but it did tone down a fair bit over the course of an hour or so of being open. Not scoring this one; hopefully the other will be better.

Now open for business. Mint and creosote on the nose, grip on the palate with old-vine depth, convincing minerality, just a hint of residual tannin on the finish. A super value wine whose time has come.

As I read my tasting note from last July, not much has changed for better or worse. The earthyness and minerality are firm and the tannins still fresh. Perhaps not as concentrated in the fruit flavor as before, but a very nice envelope of acidity makes me think that it can certainly hold on for a few more years of good drinking. As this producer's entry-level Malbec, it is really very good and a great representation of the varietal. Agree with Vinomane's assesment. score unchanged (88)
