Best thing to say, is that it had a lot more fruit than the 01 which really started to oxidize. Very strong elderflower and red currants. Drinkable and obviously a Te koko, but it's not up to the last bottle 3 years ago. Drink up.

Previous tastings of Te Koko had made be believe that this wine would hold on for 7 or 8 years, but I no longer think so. This sauvignon was well past its best, but had enough liveliness and freshness to complement a fish starter. If you have any, drink it now.

This was past its prime. I had the same bottle of Te Koko a few years back and it was MUCH better, in fact one of our favorite Sauvignons. This had an overpowering taste of alcohol. Also, it had much more oak than I remember.

I've had great bottles of this wine but the last two was just not up to par. These wines are meant to be drunk fresh I suspect. I think its time to drink up.
