Another great dinner with Jon: Ginger, orange, toffee, plenty of botrytis and a pretty floral note. The palate is surprisingly fresh, there is grip and great acidity, finishing really clean and pure. Almost feels like it will live forever on this trajectory as it isn't really showing any signs of slowing down.

Night One of Two Big Sydney Extravaganzas (Sydney, Australia): As emotion-filled an experience as a tactile one. Even the bottle drew unrelenting attention throughout the evening, and interestingly to me was clear glass. Dark brown to the point of approaching black. Plenty of aromatics, which gave us high expectations yet did not disappoint. Toffee, coffee, lushly thick and with evident acidity -- what a showing, and a humbling way to wrap up a lovely evening.

You know you are having a good evening when this appears.
What can I say but thanks to my Grand Fathers for making this wine.
Think of the year think of where France was and then taste this sweet nectar.
It is still going strong with great length power and finish. All the classic notes from a bottle that seems as fresh as yesterday.
