Purchased on release, and stored in a temperature controlled cellar, I was surprised that the color had some browning. The wine had a tired taste, balanced and complex but surprisingly playing the back nine. Not like the others from this good vintage.

Old style CDP. Very herbaceous and tertiary on the nose, with a thick and tannic palate of strawberry, black licorice, and minerals. Probably still a handful of years away from hitting its stride.

Excellent overall. Impressive nose. Elegant and well balanced, smooth tannins on the long finish. Drinking well now with no sign of decline.
