Gloats perfectly balanced fruits, herbs, wood and minerals with a substantial acidic backbone to sustain many years to come. Urbane on all accounts, a truly balanced and well-made wine.

Not decanted - very tight on day 1. Shy on the nose, but definitely a dense, well-extracted Cab. This is normally one of my favorite mid-range, higher-production Cabs from Washington, but this vintage might just need more time. The fact that this was markedly better on day two reinforces that. Still quite good, but not amazing.

Nose is clean, medium + intensity with notes of fruit, floral (green) and secondary (barrell). It is youthful.
Palate is dry, medium acidity, medium body (maybe just a touch less, medium -), tannins are medium -, flavors are intense and pronouced. The finish is medium.
Overall this is a good quality cabernet for its pronouced aromas and balance of body weight and acidity. I believe it will develop further.
It is in a very "elegant" style, which is one that I very much like and enjoy, hence this may be clouding my judgement as to its quality.

So pretty, so perfumed, who makes cabernet this low in alcohol anymore?
