  My previous note from February is fine. A few more observations, the finish is not short/medium as I had indicated. While the wine is light and elegant, it has a nice lingering finish especially after some air. Also, I underrated its overall quality. It probably would not perform particularly well blind and it was anonymous at a party with lots of cooking, conversation and a variety of other wines to select from but served at an appropriate occasion with the right food it is spectacular. Overall, elegant but complete, great mature/maturing fruit, lovely with food, cerebral, not for everyone, good now after 30 minutes but some upside.

  Riserva indicated. Initially the nose was tight and I wasn't connecting with this wine but with time and after setting my expectations aside I was able to appreciate what was in the glass. Contrary to my expectations all aspects were elegant and understated - aroma, flavor, texture and finish. It showed mature leather but there was also some pretty, high toned rose, cherry and a slight roasted quality in the background. The flavor was almost exclusively roasted mature leather. It was light and lively in the mouth finishing short/medium. Ready now or hold short term. Better with air and good next day.
