  • Very farmyard nose. Loads of funk, dirt, manure... you get the idea! Relatively light on the palette. I find the fruit a little austere for my taste. But nice, balanced wine overall with plenty of iterest. Drinking well at this point.

  • Continues to soften. Nice fruit and mouth grip. Easy and satisfying drinking.

  • Medium red colour. Violets and red fruits on the nose. Very pleasant. Raspberry, red cherry, spice and even minerals in the mouth. Not especially long or complex but very nice to drink. Ready to go.

  • As someone who associates Faiveley with the austure and hard to enjoy unless you are prepared to wait a few decades, this surprised me in the EP tastings. From the bottle it does not disappoint. Pure and focussed strawberry flavours, with high-toned acidity counter-pointed by supple tannins. Charming and delightful - words I never expected a bottle of Faiveley to evoke. vg
