Blind California Syrah (Our House): Aromas and flavors dominated by alcohol with some ripe fruit and spice. Unbalanced, low acidity, and a short finish.

Pop and poured, rocks it out from the get go; IMO currently in its' "sweet" spot - drink them if you got them. This is a great burger, pizza, barbecue, etc... wine. Wish I had bought more.

IMO this is one of the best $8 bottles around - dark garnet, blue/black fruit on the nose; blue fruit, spice, a little pepper on the tongue; nice acidity, fine tannins, decent finish. This will be just the ticket for burgers, barbecue, etc... if you see it, buy a bottle. I originally bought a half-case(Dan Posner recommendation) and now wish I had bought a case- I'll be looking for more.

Consistent with prior reviews - Very deep garnet colored, approaching inky. On the nose I picked up dark fruit, vanilla, with faint floral and spice notes. On the palate, medium bodied with ripe dark cherry, vanilla, spice and fine grained tannins. Medium finish, good balance of fruit, acids, and tannins. Very good QPR at $12. Unbelievable QPR at $6 (purchased at 50% off club member sale)! Our fave Syrah at the moment!
