20 yo twany Big rancio notes on the nose, dried nuts and dried apricot quite a bit of VA. Super tangy on the palate, orange peel, great freshness. Long walnutty finish Very good, My favourite of the Penfolds tawnies Blend of wines dating back to the 1960s.

Tasted at Whalebone Wharf Restaurant in Port Macquarie: Unfortunately served in the wrong Riedel glass (whiskey). Still, the wine was wonderful! Very smooth, deep and elegant. Lots of substance there. Maybe a little less lifting (due to less prominent acidity) than the Galway 25 year old tasted yesterday. Still: a phenomenal wine that would give many genuine 20 year old ports a run for their money.

Caramel, raisin, and pecan flavors make for a nice tawny. The caramel has a singed quality on the finish that is a bit distracting.

Drank sips over a month. Each time, the flavors became more intense ad the finish stayed with me. Pleasantly surprised.

Mahogany, green rim; walnuts, burnt treacle, spirits, very sweet, high toned; sour edge to spiky finish.
