Decanted two hours, but this was really at its best after four. I had a bunch of these several years ago, when it was a more fruit forward, youthful wine. I’m happy to say it’s still showing well, albeit differently, at age 14.

Just opened my fifth and final case of the '06. Consistency is the best word to describe the 2006 entry level offering. Of the 48 others I've consumed, I have rated them from 90 to 94 upon opening, and perhaps a point higher upon 2 hours decanting.

Decent CA cab at the price I paid for it in 2010 ($21). Seems like more recent vintages are in the $40-$50 range, and at that price I would not enjoy it as much. In any event, dark cherry in color with plum and earth on the nose. A little tannin left with cassis, blackberry and earth on the palate. A bigger wine than you would expect at this age, slightly rough, but enjoyable.

Plenty of ripe dark fruit upon opening and significant tannins holding it together. Needs some air upon opening. Black cherry, plum, chocolate on the palate.

Mid-dark garnet; big Napa Cabernet nose; berries, mint, oak; tight tannins still; good fruit extract; long chewy finish. Needs time. w/beef
