this wine really grew on me. lovely fruits held in place with good acidity. really rich colour, a long and sharp (almost spicey) finish. no specific flavours or aromas to highlight, just all round quality.

Starting to turn a bright golden color. Touch reduced when first opened. It needed to shed a bit of Sulpher as well. After about ah hour, it really started to come around. Some toasty oak on the nose along with quince, Marzipana and bread pudding. Spine of acidity that kept it all together.

Bright pale straw gold. Nose is heady with tropical fruit and buttery oak. Mouth entry is firm and sweetly fruited. Mid-palate fills out with nice complexity and a touch of oak butteriness. Finish is creamy and a touch spicy. Very nice indeed in quite a buxom style. ***

Chassagne and Chambolle Lunch (The Ledbury): Full gold colour. Slightly lactic nose. Creamy attack, some minerality, ripe, together, ready. Lovely. ***1/2
