Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 95 points

  • Low fill. Lovely dark colour. Divine nose of smoke-tinged roses perfectly integrated with fruit of pristine, crystaline clarity, and fabulous complexity of layering typical of wines from ungrafted vines. same complexity in the mouth-coating savour of great grip, and a feral quality and depth that simply doesn't exist in the more 4-square wines from grafted vines, as well as levels of reverberation that may seem incredible if one has only experienced contemporary stuff. Intense, finely-etched core is still a bit tannic; extremely ethereal floral notes gliding into reticent spicy tones and a softly fruity nectar emerge later: echoes endlessly.
