It’s always a privilege to taste old burgundy. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of mushroom, forest floor, spices, toast, truffle, cooked red fruits. Medium acidity and medium tannin.

Disaster with cork. Had to push it in and pour it out through a fine into decanter.
Immediately: Nose: medium intensity, earthy, leather, fruit and dried fruit? Spices, Nice Palate: wow so good, superb, showing much better than the nose at this stage. Incredible perfume fills your mouth, low tannin, very long length.
Superb. Love it.
Intensity of the nose grow as time went by.

Consumed at The Wine Library, Sydney, on our first trip to eat out after the COVID-19 lockdown. And it did not disappoint. Medium brick-crimson hue.
As expected, the nose was tight at first, but opened up nicely. Intensely perfumed. Gamey meats to the fore but supported by a complex mix of spices, red and black cherries and earth.
Palate is full and rounded, as expected for a L-C. It has a lovely kick in the mid-palate. Smooth long finish. Excellent.
