  • I bought this from the winery upon release. Boysenberry, dark coffee and milk chocolate aromas with some Herbs de Provence. Black berry flavors as well, very fat and forward, slightly sweet. Still nicely fresh for a 15 yo RRV Pinot Noir, but retaining very attractive balance.

  • A great pinot noir with body and rich fruit.

  • Stewed red and black cherries, cola, clove, cinnamon, and a dash earthy vegetation. Ripe, rich and mature. Very Russian River. Overall, the flavors were a bit murky and the strong cherry cola element was too strong for my preference, though others really enjoyed it. Drink soon.

  • 93 Points. Served between 60-65 Fahrenheit.

Quite aromatic on the nose with warm baking spice elements of cinnamon and clove contrasted against a layer of red berry fruit. On the palate, raspberries and dried red currants are followed by cola spices. There's a remarkable earthy, Mexican basil element draped across the mid-palate as well that gives it a great deal of depth and interest. Overall, an impressive effort with bright acidity and great weight on the palate. May be at the peak of its maturity, but should hold for several more years.

  • We drank this 8/29/2011 along side the 2007 Sonoma Coast PN. This wine blew the 2007 away. Overall the wine had tremendous mouth feel, the fruit was mellowed but very rich and there was the wonderful earthiness that come to aged Pinot Noir. Great nose, essence of great Pinot Noir. Maybe this was just an especially good bottle, but I would rate 93. Drank with a rustic cook out but would have been killer with duck confit. I was worried this wine would be past it's prime. Wine was excellent, cork was pretty crumbly.
