If it was a little thin and short two years ago, it's even more attenuated now: the fruit has faded more and the alcohol is starting to show. It's seen better days but still offers pleasure to lovers of mature Burgundy.

Delicate and gentle. Sweet and faded fruit, with just a little kick of spice and tannin to let you know it's still alive. And if it's a little pale and thin and short, I can overlook that for the pleasure of real Burgundian maturity. In the sale from the Wine Society. I am content. vg
