  • This one aged well... The nose, the color, the taste, the spices in the background nose-- all made very nice merlot, with long finish, and one that opens up well over the 2-3 hours in which it was drank. Peppers/spicy on the nose and background taste, still has some nice well balanced fruit taste. Cassis, cherries, and plum are recalled from the tasting, and on the spices 'pepperish' and pine. Some little oak on the background.

Enjoyable, and would be worth testing again at a shorter 'lineup' to see if I agree with my fading memory notes.

(It stood well along with more than 30 bottles at the Berserkers 7.0 and got very good reviews, that said- there were some very good wines there...(see other notes from the event) (highlights- the smell and the taste)

  • At home. Dark cranberry. Nose very varietal. Cherries. In the mouth, lovely warm fruit, great mouthfeel. Still tannic. Medium length on the palate. Seems very youthful, vibrant and alive. Very attractive to look at. 5-11-16-7: 89/100.
