Bloody fantastic! This wine was truly a treat and it completely exceeded our expectations. Bought on release and cellared since. This wine was so smooth and luscious. A myriad of flavors. So huge and complex yet still elegant and refined. It was great on it's own and with our roasted leg of lamb. Everything was in balance. We loved every drop. So far it is the best bottle of wine we've had this year (and we've had a lot of outstanding wines). It really truly is hard to beat a great aged Aussie wine. No rush on these, but it would be a pity to miss this stage. Cheers and enjoy! 98

Last tasted 2017 but that was the '02. Still very dark and opaque, very viscous. Pronounced complex sweet nose of black cherries and plums. Full-bodied but very smooth and silky, no significant tannin, good acidity, moderate alcohol. Rich, smooth, with some elegance, carries through to a long aftertaste. Not as huge and powerful as some other shiraz. No signs of being too old but will drink our remaining bottle soon. Ric

Large and tasty! Needed good 3+ hours decant and it gets better after 5 hours really hit the spot. Very interesting for my first bottle of shiraz , feels like overly fruity cali cab.

Lovely wine. Large scaled yes, high alcohol, yes, but somehow manages to marry the dark ripe blackberry fruit. some oaky caramel notes and juicy currant acidity together pretty seamlessly. This was less alcoholic and less caramel on day one, but still with the ripe fruit and juicy finish. Rating is from day 1, day 2 rating would be 91, so message would be drink up.
