Wow. This is probably the best chardonnay I've ever tasted, displaying candied lemon peel, nicely layered acidy, and an extremely well balanced touch of oak. Plenty of life left on this and I wish I had another bottle or three.
crystalline, almost canary yellow. citrus, butterscotch and a hint of nuttiness on the nose with bright acidity and citrus/stonefruit on the palate. the finish lingers with a bit of grapefruit and herbs. really great wine with years ahead of it. sadly, my last bottle.
Clear, deep gold color. Coats the glass. Clean aromas of medium+ intensity, showing primary lime zest notes with wet stone minerality, and secondary hazelnut, toast, butterscotch and honeysuckle flower- developing. Dry on the palate, with with medium+ acid, high tannins, medium alcohol and full body. Shows flavors of rich stone and citrus fruit balanced with toasted almond, butterscotch and clove. Big, broad, silky texture. Good overall balance. Rich complexity with verve. Full finish. This is fine now, but can certainly continue to age well.
this was fine, had good acid and citrus fruit, was bright and tight, but just didn't have the extra elements to drive a 90's rating… if it had added some pine, minerals, dusty texture, etc it would have scored better, this is a wine i am happy to drink but nothing exciting
