  • At age 13, this wine continues to be at a wonderful place and is almost identical to the last bottle five months ago. This NV is based on 2008 wine and was disgorged April 2011. It is equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and about 1/3 reserve wine. The wine has a lovely color, with golden hues. It has lots of carbonation, is a medium body wine with tremendous structure, acid backbone, and delineation. Best of all is its aromatic and flavor complexity, with apple, pear and kiwi, a fresh yeasty flavor and gentle spiciness. It is a very well balanced wine, with a long, sappy finish and a roundness on the finish that lasts for a very long time. Drink to 2025+.

  • Another great bottle of the NV based on 2008 wine and disgorged April 2011, it is equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and about 1/3 reserve wine. • This NV was based on 2008 and was disgorged April 2011. The last time I had it was 2012, and here's what I wrote then: "Beautiful pale peach; medium to full body; apple, pear and kiwi flavors. Very well balanced, lovely spiciness, very long finish. Best to drink in 2013-2020. 92"

From memory. Decanted and served immediately. This has evolved remarkably and was so good that instead of having it with our first course as planned we drank it all by itself, so that nothing could interfere with our enjoyment of its tremendous aromas, flavors and body. Decidedly gold in color, it has tremendous aromatic complexity and confirmed why we like fine old Champagne. If well-stored, can drink to 2025, otherwise drink up.
