Slowed oxed for 2 hours. Lots of vr spice, gentle oak, herbs and wild berries. Typical cathiard structure on the palate that showed the classic 08 vintage that has yet to fully unleash its potential. Much more open than last time. Needs at least 1-2 more years to fully show its flair. Very good now with upside. 92-93

Interestingly spicy almost new world spice ( of course this is very classic on the palate). On the young side but in no way austere, quite on the fruit, some secondary touches and all that spice. A very solid wine but really at this level we expected so much more. Solid 91 and no clue if this improves, we sure hope so.

I've been enjoying 08 reds, so thought I'd give this a go. Very pleased with the experience.
Showed a nice light touch on the palate. Lots of energy and lift. Sweet fruits. Something of the polished cathiard style with ripe and juicy fruit, albeit perhaps more elegance. Definitely think more Vosne than NSG. Got some wild strawberry on the nose. Good juice.

Blind Tasting Burgundies from Well-Known Producers (The Wolf, Oakland): Tannic and tooth-stripping as compared to the 2006. Plenty of dense, vivacious fruit there but really needs a few years to chill. Try in 2020 and drink through ~2026.
