I really liked this wine. The color was medium in depth with a bit of brown starting to develop. The flavor was great - deep plum, some berry and spice/oak. i did not decant the wine and it was a bit tight coming out of the bottle initially. However, it quickly opened up and was balanced and delicious. I have had Green and Red a few times before and have always been pleased. it is just the way I like a Zinfandel. I am not sure if this will continue to benefit from further aging.

Expected this to be as awful as the 98 Green and Red Chiles Mill bottle we had recently, but this is a nice surprise. Reasonably well balanced, the palate is dominated by plum and spice - so much for using this bottle for cooking.
