Judging by previous reviews from a few years ago, I may be drinking my lone bottle of this a little past its peak. Deepish garnet color with some bricking at the edges. Aromas of dark fruit, graphite, earth, tobacco, eucalyptus, and green pepper. Light bodied with medium(+) acid, medium finish, and flavors of dark fruits and minerals, along with a little green and a little wood. The minerality lingers. I found it interesting aromatically, but falling a little short on the palate, though the end of the bottle turned out to be the best glass. Worked fine with meatloaf.

Color is red, with a hint of brown. It is clear. Very nice, aromatic nose. It is minty, herby, florally, and woodsy. I initially smell notes of dried florals. There are notes of cherry and raspberry. Aromas of mint and cedar. All of which are light and very aromatic. Also some very light tobacco notes. Nice complexity. The aromas don't evolve. But they are very enjoyable and nothing is out of balance.
Initially taste is tart. There are some nice structured flavors, but I have to filter out the tartness and tannins. None of these are bad. I like them enough. Initially I get tart notes of cherry. Then faint bitter fruit, such as grapefruit, also some earthy notes of mushroom and oak. Dark chocolate comes out way into the finish. I love the evolution of flavors throughout the taste. Nice long finish with notes of earth, mushroom and dark chocolate carrying for 45 seconds or more. TOTAL SCORE: 89 points.

Last bottle, and a bit improved over previous. More red fruits, along with tobacco, herbal notes, some dry earth and distinct woody notes. Good everyday quaffer.

Less fruit than previous bottles, leaving more wood and tobacco components. If this is representative of where it's going, it's time to drink the last bottle.
