Best petite sirrah I've ever tasted. Great with Tuscan Pot Roast so at least 90 pts. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. Fruit, tannins , and acid are perfectly balanced. I would guess that the wine is drinking exceptionally well, right now.

(Gustafson Family Vineyards Petite Sirah) Opaque purple red violet color; very appealing, vibrant, aromatic, sweet black pepper, tar, licorice nose; tasty, sweet black pepper, tar, licorice; nearly ready, could use 1-2 years; medium-plus finish 92+ points
(Gustafson Family Vineyards Petite Sirah) Nice black fruit, mint, mincemeat, tar nose; tasty, mincemeat, tar palate, needs 3-4 years; medium-plus finish
(Gustafson Family Vineyards Petite Sirah) Very dark purple violet color; nice lavender, berry, black fruit nose; tight, dense, poised, tar, berry, black fruit palate; medium-plus finish (more complex than the '06, which the owner attributes largely to adding manual punch downs; 1/3 new oak; 2/3s French oak, 1/3 American)
