Great chambolle, elegant and sappy red fruits thoughout, persistent. The generosity is amazing for the vintage. Finally came together. Grivot wines need time to reveal themselves, and sometimes lots of it. This finally came together. Thank you Etienne, you are missed.

Disappointing Chambolle. Closed on the nose. Tannins still prominent on the palate and the finish is short. Leave for 5 years and pray that it improves

Drank it along with other two 1er cru Chambolle. This wine was definitely not as structured in the taste. And even its aroma was not as noticeable as the other two. I felt this was a bit over-priced

At a tasting with Mr Grivot himself. He explained about this vineyard, La Combe d'Orveau, which is not a Premier Cru vineyard, but a normal village vineyard. But it has a good reputation, and winemakers likes to put the name on the bottle, and they are allowed, as long as they are not blending the wine with other village vineyards.
The wine is dark, ruby red. Has a very concentrated and beautifully intense smell. which makes it feel older than it is. Voluptious on the palate. Spicy, intense taste!

Earthy nose, gibier, poil de sanglier, sandalwood, cerise rouge... light tannins, red berries, light ripe red cherries, good but too earthy vintage!
