Meh. Nice, if somewhat muted, nose of graphite, grapey fruit, barnyard, and a touch of spicy oak. But this is strangely dilute / hollow on the palate, which makes the alcohol show through more than it should given that it is a light to medium bodied wine. Merely OK, though acceptable QPR at $13.
Lovely ruby robe; pure red fruit, hint of graphite. Great concentration of flavor on the palate. I'm glad I saved this bottle: my impression is that this wine is at a height of readiness (intending no implication that it won't remain so, or for how long--I'm not sure how to tell).
