From a magnum. Very good bottle of wine. No signs of aging or fading. Perfectly balanced. Flavorful. Did not decant, and after opening up after 30 min or so, it was pretty consistent through the rest of the bottle

A much more serious wine than I anticipated. Pretty cherry red color. Nose starts out very funky but with a load of pepper. The nose continues funky and goes to a barnyard/wet leaves nose after some period of time. The palate is pretty sweet, with a cola and cherry flavor. Very bright acidity, cut right through a lasagna. Finish is pretty long. The complexity is closer to what I'd expect from a Pinot based Burgundy. Another reminder that Cru Beaujolais is still a smoking bargain.

Nice again tonight - took a few minutes to blow off some steam, then blossomed into a fresh cherry infused drink.

Juicy, not contemplative but not too simple either, a food wine or coolish sipper. Drink 1 year.
