  • This has developed nicely in the last couple of years. Still balanced, but generally deeper and richer. Nice use of oak, creating a resinous flavor and mouthfeel. I think this is at peak, and don't see a ton of improvement from here. No rush, but certainly no need to hold these any further.

  • This may be the best new world sauv blanc I've ever had. Amazingly complex with acid so well balanced with almost a buttery feel that one may confuse it with a chard. I look forward to enjoying these all summer!

  • Drinking my only bottle, but I can't help but think this is starting to fade. The nose is fresh with lemon juice and wet rocks, but the palate shows next to no fruit other than a spritz of lemon. That being said, there is more minerality here than I have tasted in any sauv blanc outside of France. The terroir comes through. You can feel the oak aging on the mouthfeel, it adds a smoothness to the wine but the oak is not apparent on the flavors. I look forward to trying a later vintage of this closer to release.

  • Initially the nose is full of lemon juice and the palate is citrus with a firm mineral backbone and a very clean mouthfeel. After warming a bit, the palate becomes more lemon zest and lemon grass and the minerality calms a bit. The mouthfeel acquires a slightly oily texture. A really refreshing and enjoyable SB.

  • Drank with Dick Keenan owner of Kick Ranch which was a treat. I love these wines. They have to be the best QPR in California right now. A richer and fuller bodied SB. A bit lacking on acidity but overall a nice rich mouthfeel with adequate delineation. Ripe pear and melon flavors with a nice burnt lime infused finish.
