Clear, intense golden color, quite oily liquid. Clean, intense and fully developed nose. At the beginning easily detectable as Sauvignon Blanc but quickly the ripe, honey flavor of a botrytis wine takes over and smells a bit ordinary. Sweet wine with a good balance of sugar and acidity at a moderate alcohol level of about 12%. Medium intense with a long finish. It has all what a good sweet wine needs but lacks a bit of complexity to be very good. Too much botrytis and it lacks a bit of fruit aromas. This wine is almost indestructible and has years ahead. If it gets any better? I doubt it. Looking at my first note from 2010 it seems that all fruit goes slowly in the back and the botrytis dominated flavors take command. If you like it, keep it for some more years. If not: drink up!
